About the Role:
The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver safe, efficient, and effective maintenance and repair services for council vehicles, mobile plant, fixed plant, and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles and plant equipment
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Source necessary parts and materials
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe
- Assist with equipment evaluations and road testing
Requirements:
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence (Heavy Rigid Licence highly desirable)
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining:
- Heavy plant and equipment
- Passenger vehicles
- Small plant and machinery
- Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures
- Competent in welding with both an MIG and ARC welder
- Working With Children Check to be obtained prior to commencement
- Police Check to be obtained prior to commencement

The Procurement Officer ensures effective, compliant, and value-for-money procurement and contract management across Council. The role supports tender processes, contract development, supplier engagement, and audit-ready record keeping. Working with internal teams and external partners, the officer provides expert advice on procurement strategy, risk, and compliance, while promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Administration: Oversee tender specifications, documentation, and evaluation, ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the process.
- Contract Management Systems & Reporting: Lead the development and implementation of contract management systems, ensuring accurate performance reporting aligned with organizational goals.
- Tender Evaluation & Vendor Selection: Evaluate tenders, assess vendor proposals, and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Advise on procurement legislation and ensure all activities comply with legal requirements.
